FIRST PAPER

Student's name: Maria Teresa del Carpio Pons.
Title of the paper:Virginia Woolf as a feminist and a woman writer.

Author or topic:Women's studies and feminist theory: Virginia Woolf, not only a writer.
Abstract or summary of the research in not more than 100 to max.150 words:
I would like to deal with Women's studies and feminist theory, focusing on women writers, in order  to introduce me to the vast and complex world of Virginia Woolf.
Since Orlando's project "An integrated History of women's Writing in British Isles", the celebration of women's history and the 75th  anniversary of woman suffrage have been made, I can investigate some writings that reflect the continuing strugle for women's rights in the nineteenth and early twentieth centurie; for instance, Virginia Woolf's publication of a book-length feminist essay: "A Room of One's Own" (1929). My reason for it, is  that I believe women from these times, have been deprived of their history and, consecuently, of their identity.

Auto-evaluation:Even though I am not able to make an auto-evaluation, I am aware of the mark I would like to obtain: "sobresaliente" or, at least, "notable". Not only do I have high aspirations, but I also aim to study the paper in depth.
