My work will consist in two parts, the first
one is objective, therefore I just collect up some
information about an outstanding author called Oscar
Wilde which belong to "the change of
century".
The second part is the subjective one, where
his novel "The Picture of Dorian Gray" will
be compared with one of his dramas "The
Importance of being Ernest". The reason of
choosing this coparison is because both have many
similarities in the style, he use many "plays on
words", and in both Wilde make a good use of
language.Although he wrote mainly poetry I have
chosen this novel because from my point of view is
one of his most interesting works due to his own way
of looking the life, and because he would had like to
be as the first character of this novel (as he told
to one of his friends in a letter).
