         My work will treat about one important doctrine: the marxism. It is an historical, economical,

    political and social doctrine commenced by Karl Marx and the people who followed him. In addition

    this moviment is the base of socialism and comunism. Marxist theory is based in several concepts,

    like utopian socialism, ideal society, ...

            However, this doctrine has an important place for literature too. Marxist Critics assume that

    conflicts between economic classes inevitably shape social reality, they emphasize the ways these

    struggles affect writers, audiences and texts. Therefore marxist critics study the complex relations

    between literature and society, ideally seeking to promote social progress.

            Finally, it is necessary to say that marxism had a considerable period of influence in history.
