         Abstract or summary of the research in not more than 100 to

                    My work treats about several subjects I want to develop.

                           First of all, I think that it is quite important beginning for making an analysis

                of author´s biography, since Daniel Defoe was one of the best prosists at the

                XVIII century. Later, the work will continue with summaries of some of his more

                important plays, like Singleton (1720), Moll Flanders (1722), A Journal of the

                Plagne Year (1722), Roxana (1724) and, above all, Robinson Crusoe. This is the

                first english novel writed in a formal realism, but in spite of this, it is a great

                imaginative work. Robinson Crusoe is inspired by the adventures of a scottish

                sailor, called Alexander Selklirk, at one island placed in front of Chile´s coasts.

                            Finally, the work will include one part dedicated to this new type of novel,

                formal realism; but without being a real story.
