Review Two:
Abstract : In this course, Teatro Inglés Siglos
XIX y XX, we have studied a great variety of different genres of theatre, from
naturalistic playwrights to the more abstract and modern in yer
face theatre. We have also covered material from the
highly acclaimed Beckett’s ‘Waiting for Godot’ to
less well know playwrights such as Sarah Kane. In the course of studying, we
have learnt about various aspects of the theatre through different, exciting
types of media, from watching films to going to the theatre. I feel this course
is varied and extremely stimulating, although it has been challenging reading
such a wide variety of literature in a relatively short time period.
Auto-evaluation: I have found this
course, Teatro Inglés Siglos XIX y XX, thought provoking and exciting. One of the
parts I have enjoyed most was attending theatre productions, which were
interesting and stimulating. I also enjoyed reading such a wide genre of plays,
and I feel my reading and writing skills have improved because of this. I found
the amount of reading challenging but felt I benefited from the knowledge I
gained. I feel this course has made me think about the future of theatre, as
well as learn about the past!
