Abstract : I have done an analysis about the poem “To sleep” by John Keats, where there are information about The Romanticism, his life and his works, in the First Paper.
On the Second Paper the web page deals with one of the most famous poets of the 19th and 20th centuries. The aim of this course paper is to compare to poets of different periods such as Keats and Swinburne.
What we have done is learning and enjoying the poetry of the Romanticism, the Victorian Age and the Pre-Raphaelites. In class we talked about a lot of poets but we had to analyse only some of them. In my case, I studied Keats for the Romanticism and Swinburne from the Victorian Age, a Pre-Raphaelite poet.
Auto-evaluation: Due to my interest in English Poetry, I have to admit that this subject was very interesting for me. I learnt a lot about the 20th century poetry, which was unknown for me. Evaluating myself is quiet strange, but I think a 6 would OK because my progression is visible thoughout my papers. I want also to add that editing this web oage is the most difficult task for me according to this subject. I expect that this will be considered.
