Plot

The play begins with Richard, an ambitious man who kills anybody to obtain his ambitions. Richard kills his brother, his wife… All this occurs because he envies his brothers’ life. For this reason he marries a woman who does not love him after he had killed her husband. At the end of the play Richard is murdered in a war that he started.

Space

The play is situated in England, and in the representation it is not very decorated, there was only a throne. The main feeling of what happens and where it happens is by the use of the illumination and the music effects. The play begins with a terror feeling with a dark light and follows with a dark contrasted with the white light which illuminates the characters when they are speaking. The music effects are also important, they transmit us a sensation of terror, intrigue… Gilles Martin and Ximo Rojo have been made possible these effects.

Critic

In my point of view this play is very impacting and uses perfect effects of illumination and music. I think that this play transmits all the feelings and the situations that occur. I have not might see the William Shakespeare play but I think that this version is similar with the other and it is very well represented.
