Aldous Huxley was an English writer of the beginning of the XX century. The education he got in his family of great biologists and the death of his mother when he was 14 years old influenced him very much.
In 1916 his first book, a collection of poems, was published.
In 1931 Huxley wrote A Brave New World in four months. Huxley used his scientific, literary and artistic culture together with his extraordinary mind and his huge irony. A Brave New World is based in a World without physical suffering but without individual freedom. When the author wrote it he was thinking about an Utopian and futurist London. It is a satire for a possible future World.
A Brave New World has been considered one of the most important novels in our period since it appeared.
