Abstract: The object of this paper is to approach the student to an English Victorian writer acquiring the knowledge about him.

The paper is divided into two parts: biography and E-texts with a possibility to obtain more information on my classmate’s website who was also working on this author.

The best biographies of George Gissing were selected from well-known pages and the majority of his E-text was found through the internet. Some of his works are linking to the original site and others are stored on this page for being maintained alive. Also, the option for free downloading of some E-texts is available.

I hope everyone will find something useful and knowledgeable on this site.
