Abstract : During the course we have done two individual and two collective papers. My first individual paper deals with the importance of Theseus in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and describes the role of the character in the play, what his relationships with other characters are and why he is important.

The first and second collective papers are compilated and deal with the comic characterisation in Shakespearean plays and its application to different characters we spoke about in the individual papers.

My second individual paper talks about different types of marriage in A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Comedy of Errors.

Auto-evaluation : I attended all the classes and I have read all the plays proposed. I have also made an effort in writing the papers and therefore I consider that I deserve to pass the subject.
