In this paragraph we are going to mention some authors who influenced in the Austen´s literary. We will start with the english author Fanny Burney(1752-1840), we will speak about D. Defoe(c.1660-1731) and finally we will see the author who was influenced by Jane Austen´s literary, G. Eliot.
Burney was born in King´s Lynn. Her first novel, Evelina, was published in anonymity in 1778. After she was recognise as the author of the book, she became in an importannt figure for the principal authosrs of the age, specially of Samuel Jhonson. Her novels are sentimental descriptions, although witty, about inocent young girls that are entering in the social life. Her novel will influence in the J. Austen´s one rearly.
Daniel Defoe was born in London around 1660. He wrote more than 500 books. Defoe worked in the government in 1695 and in this year he wrote Ensayo sobre los proyectos, an excellent analyses about subjects as the women´s education. Between 1704 and 1713 editted the most of the articles of a news diary(The Review). The most important novel was Robinson Crusoe, published in 1719. This novel has become in a classical of the children´s literature.
George Eliot(1819-1880)pseudonym of Mary Ann or Marian Evans. She was born in Chilvers Coton (Warwickshire). Her first literary work was the traduction of Vida de Jesús(1835-1836) G. Eliot wrote for the magazine Westminster Review. In 1856 she started to write novels: Amos Barton, Adam Bede(1859) and Silas Marner(1861), novels that speak about Warwickshire and based on her own life.
