SUMMARY

TIME ANALYSIS

The real time is the time that has taken me reading it. I have expended one entire afternoon reading it because the complexity in Michael Joyce’s language. He uses very difficult expressions and the parts of the play have different subparts in, so you have to read all and it takes you a lot of time, almost the time it has taken to me.

The fictional time is the time where the history takes place. It is chronological because it is the life of a girl since she is a teenager till she is a woman. This history takes place in several years in this time, Joyce explains us how Samantha grows up living in the Board School, till she was 15, when she was at the internate.

SUMMARY

In this hypertext there are different characters, but the most important are Samantha(main character), her father and hes sister Lisle(co-character). Samantha makes his own reflexions about the mysteries of death and live, from his experiences and livings. The play is based in friendship and love between the main characters of the history.

She has passed her live in an internate because her parents couldn’t look after her when she was born. They were divorced and her mother was death. She loves her sister Lisle and they have a very good relationship.

When she was little and went home with her father, expended the time with him and his girlfriend, after her mother’s death.

Samantha was always interested in things that couldn’t ask to her Main Mother in the internate, because were questions very spicy; related with sex or with men. For example, if the Mother have fucked sometime.

Samantha lives in a city and there is a river, where supposedly, someone died. This fact makes Samantha start making long reflexions about live and death. She makes a reflexion about if there is life after dying.She thinks a lot in the seasons of the year because she says there are seasons when it is good fall in love and others that they aren’t appropiate to it. She has a boyfriend called Javier and always goes with him to the cascade, a very special place for her because she speaks a lot about it in her dreams and she considers it a magical place. She thinks a lot in all the things.

There are a lot of descriptions even the places where the history takes place. She misses a lot her mother’s callings and when she goes out of the internate expends long time in the kitchen speaking with her sister and her mother; this is the mean reason why she misses a lot her mother when she dies. This think makes her a more mature girl and a person more thinker and more dreamer than she was.
