Subjective work
To start with the subjective work I'll say that I find out a lot of information
of JANE AUSTEN, specially in
the area of her biography, her reputation...This is a fact that indicates
that Austen was a very important writer of the
English Literature.
I can mention that she is, obviously woman; It isn't quite frequent that
a woman writes now but it isn't less fre-
quent that do it 20 years ago.
She was, principally a novelist, a thing quite rare because in her era
the novel was despreciated; she wrote in
a very sentimental way and her most important plays are: Emma, Sense and
Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice... But she
also had limitations. One may be that she always used the same topics:
Relationships between wife and husband and
others.
Relating to her reputation we can talk about the big amount of admirers
she had. Even contemporanian
writers. And those talked about her reputation described at the begining.
But somebody doesn't understand her plays..."But an artist cannot do anything
slovenly".
