- STUDENT’S NAME: Rebeca Sanchis Martínez
- TITLE OF THE PAPER: Study of The Fortunes and Misfortunes of Moll Flanders.
-AUTHOR: Daniel Defoe
- ABSTRACT of the research in not more than 100 to max –150 words:
I’m going to write about Daniel Defoe (¿1660-1731). Defoe was
a businessman, politician, journalist, spy, hackwritten and the author
of the five or six narratives that laid the foundations for the proper
novel. He was the pioneer of the English novel and established realism
in England and deserves all of our attention because of that.
Apart from speaking about the author, I’ll trate one of his works:
Moll Flanders. This work is and autobiographic story where a woman is a
thief and has had a disastrous life since she was a child until one of
her husband helps her. This is the basis of Moll Flanders but behind that
there are a lot of adventures and love, interests, survival, etc.
We can see the circumstances of life in the eighteenth –century. Moll
Flanders is a great novel of picaresque realism where we see a lot of social
morality, personal and education circumstances. I talk more about these
aspects in my future work.
