CONCLUSION
I really enjoyed reading this hypertext.
The story, at first, seems to be a bit strange and surrealist but getting
deeper and deeper the plot and the characters one can find a lot of coherence
and intention on it. What I really like of this hypertext and the analysis of
it is the fact that every scene has a hidden meaning ready for make you think
about it, and the expressive vocabulary, description and style make the reader
feel like being there, inside the text, together with the characters. I hope
you enjoy as much as I do this hypertext, it is meaningful. Here I leave you my
favourite part of the hypertext.
"Who's there," someone called out, a child I thought.
I stood in the hallway.
"Jane Brandt," I said. "Dan's
friend."
No one spoke.
"I did not think anyone would be here," I added, raising my
voice. My first inclination is always to lie.
A woman came out of a room.
"I'm Lucy," she said in a little-girl voice. "Dan's
sister."
She wore a short skirt and a lumpy knitted top that looked handmade and
expensive. She wore red tights and brown suede maryjanes.
Her fingertips were stained as if she'd been painting.
"Hello," I said.
"Hello Jane," Lucy said in the same light high voice, as
though playing the role of a well-brought up child. "I'm so glad to meet
you," she said. "How was the trip? Let me show you your room. Is Dan
here, too? Is Dan coming? I can never remember when people tell me their plans.
It is always so complicated. I don't really listen. I give out keys. If you
give out keys you don't need to listen."
