Abstract: The author I have chosen for my first paper
is Ernesto Grassi (1902-1991), a well known and respected scholar and
philosopher in all Europe. After doing a thoroughgoing net research, I was able
to include some biographies,
three essays, a complete bibliography and one of the most
relevant works of the author, available online.
I
have also found important works about Grassi in Italian, for example Marcello
Simonetta’s “Un inquieto
scolaro di gentile”, or the Spanish version of the analysis made by
Franco Ratto Istituto per gli Studi Filosofici de Nápoles included in
Cuadernos sobre Vico and “Ernesto Grassi y el concepto de Humanismo”, by Joaquín Barceló, published in a later edition. One of the most interesting results is Malcolm Graham’s paper, “The Mythical Dream Interface” that applies the concept of myth
and metaphor in Grassi’s rhetorical theory to the analysis and redesign of a
computer interface like Macintosh.
