ANALYSIS OF THE ARGUMENT

The general argument of this hypertext revolves around two relationships. One of them is the relationship between Andy, who is the boyfriend of the girl of the main character, and the main character. The other is one of Allie, who is the friend of the main character, and the main character.

Now, I´m going to do, a brief summary of each page or scene to make it more understandable.

-GROUNDED . The main character arrives to the airport of Los Angeles, we don´t know where she come from. His boyfriend (Andy) is waiting her in the airport. Till now, we don´t know anything about their relationship. Then they arrive to Andy´s apartment which is very messy, like the main character describes us.

-OUTING . Now seems that Allie and the main character are in a shop. There is a man who starts to compliment Allie. This is the first time that Allie, the friend of the main character, appears. The narrator tells us how she is and what she used to do.

- REASSURANCE I . This chapter takes place in the therapist office. The main character tells to the therapist one conversation that she and Andy have had during the day. She is complaining about the kind of food that Andy bought. Under her point of view, he just bought boring food. The therapist asks her if she wanted to meet other people and she say no.

-WITHOUT A MIRROR . Allie and the main character are now in a shopping centre, the main character wants to buy a lipstick, but she has no idea about it, so she brought Allie with her.

-IF THE SUIT FITS . The two friends are going to have a bath. In this scene the main character tells to Allie that she is attracted to her. Allie says that this is normal because she is a model. Then the main character asks her if she feel the same. To this question, she says that she is beautiful.

-A BLAST . Andy and his girlfriend are discussing if they have to analyse or not their fights. Andy thinks that this is stupid and he wanted to have more fun, but under her point of view she isn´t a fun person so she can´t be funny .Then they go to have an ice cream.

-FULL BLOOM . Andy, Allie and the main character are in the apartment. The two friends are making a quilt with the blood of their menstruation. This doesn´t like to Andy.

-SETUP . In this page appear Allie and her friend. Allie has been paid so she invites the main to the main character to go to the Whiskery, a pub that Allie used to go when she was younger. Her friend told her that she will go if she shows her his portfolio.

-OOOHHH . The scene takes place in the Allie´s apartment; finally she decided to show her portfolio to her friend. This portfolio shows us how hard his career as a model was. Allie starts to remember all the things that she has to do to make a way in this world.

-TIED UP . Allie feels abandoned by her friend. She accused her of paying more attention to her boyfriend than to her. The main character, explains that to have a friend is different from to have a boyfriend. Under my point of view this relationship between Allie and the main character is rare.

-GAMES . The main character, Andy, Allie and Rodrigo, the boyfriend of Allie, are in a cafe. The main character seems to treat Andy like an object. They start to play a game where one person names three actors or actresses and the others have to guess in which movie they appear. This game doesn´t like to the main character.

-CLOSE . Andy and the main character are in the apartment. Suddenly, an earthquake woke up them. All things are on the floor, some of them have broken.

-TASTELESS . Allie told her about the night the she and Rodrigo have had. They play a kind of erotic game. The main character told it to Andy and he asks if she want to try too, but she says no.

-FINALLY . In this scene, Allie and the main character are having a lesbian relationship. Allie has made it more than once, but for the main character this is the first time. Then she don´t know how is going to tell it to Andy.

-DISASSOCIATION . Andy wants to talk to the main character, while she is thinking what she can tell him. She thinks telling him how will be his brother´s wedding will be if he don´t go with her.

-TOOL . Andy and the main character have broken up, Allie didn´t know it. Allie is going to sell her eggs.

-BACK AT SCHOOL . This is the last page, where the main character is in her bed thinking what had happened. At this point, she hates Allie, Andy and also herself.

-THE EDWARD-ALBEE TYPE . In this page, the main character tells us how she met Allie. It´s possible it occurred in a pub. The main character is with a group that she didn´t know very well.

-REASSURANCE II . The main character wants to have someone that understood her. She is thinking on break up with Andy.

-WHAT MONEY CAN BUY . Allie has received a residual check, so she and the main character go to Mexico to have lunch and then they cut their hair.

-I USED TO PLAY PROFESSIONAL BEACH VALLEYBALL . The main character tells us that she used to play volleyball like a professional; she trained eight hours a day. Now she thinks that her body is getting flabby, and Allie says her that she looks like an athlete.

-DRY . The main character tells Andy that she isn´t the same sex dynamo that she used to. She needs time to think and proposes to Andy to go to have a walk in the beach. In this moment she tells him that she loves their apartment. Under my point of view, she says this because she misses the past, when she was a professional volleyball player.

-SANDWICH . Allie, Andy and the main character go to the beach. There Allie tells to her friend that Andy doesn´t seem a third person because he doesn´t say any interesting thing.

-IT´S WHAT´S INSIDE . Allie goes to the donor eggs because it was well paid. They reject her because she has been involved with drugs, alcoholism and mental illness.

-EXPOSED . At this moment, we know that Allie is twenty-six years old. She and her friend talk about the changes that their body has experimented during these years.

-GESTURES . Allie and Rodrigo go to the Andy´s apartment to dinner. The main character act like if she were interested in Rodrigo´s career.

-ESCAPE STORIES . Mike, the brother of Andy, and Karen go in the car with Andy and the main character. The main character is very interested with the first husband of Karen. He shot himself.

-THE UNIVERSE . In this scene both friends talk about their relationships with their respective boyfriends.

-THE END OF THE BED . This is going to be the last time they make love. The main character feels sentimental and under my point of view there is a change in her way of speaking. During all the hypertext, she is referring to the act of practice sex as fuck, but now she names it to make love.

-SILENCE . Allie is in a Zen-Buddhist monastery. The main character asks her to go with her, but she says that is wouldn´t be Zen if she go with a friend, so she took Rodrigo.

-TOGETHERNESS . Andy is full of spots. They try to do something together. First they try to see a movie but they get bored so they try to connect to the Internet. At the end both decide to go to sleep because they don´t have fun.
