SPACE ASPECTS
This part of the paper will deal with space aspects of
the texts from ‘The Interview’, in which readers will know where the action has
taken place, as well as the changes of the space throughout the text.
Thus, we can talk about two different spaces
concerning the place:
· On the one hand, it can be said that the texts are
organized in an external space since they are placed on the
Internet, not on reading books.
Eisen has divided the action by establishing links or
nodes, so that the reader can access to the stories easily, taking into account
that they are distributed in three sections:
‘Education’, ‘Experience’ and ‘Career Objective’,
which deal with distinct parallel stories.
In each text, the reader has the possibility of
clicking in a link called ‘Resume’ that permits to go back to the main page of
‘The Interview’.
· On the other hand, each chapter or ‘story’ of this
hypertext is developed in internal spaces, that is, each action
takes place in a different environment (open and inner spaces), for instance at
home, in class, on the street, etc.
