TIME
In this hypertext I’m going to focus on the aspect of Time. We could say that as in every kind of story
there exists a real or external time and on the other hand a fictitious or
intern time.
REAL TIME
The time it takes to read a work of these
characteristics depends on the ability and understanding of the reader. It is a
hypertext quite simple in structure and also it is not too long though a lot of
things and events are recounted.
It has eight links which lead to eight
different pages, two of them are just pages that contain connective links, it
means the hypertext has only six argumentative pages so it takes no more than
one hour or less to read it -unless the text is not in your own language and you
have to look in the dictionary, then it takes more time- but in general, it’s
quite simple and it won’t take you too much time to read it.
FICTITIOUS
TIME
The first chapter, The Builders”, places
us at a certain time and space, specifically in the Serbia of the end of the
18th century and
principles of the 19th century. Thus, all the history
is in past except when the characters are talking, then is in present.
The story follows an argumentative thread
but its extension is not expressed in detail. Extension can be guessed but
without accuracy near the end of the reading when a builder says to one of the
main characters that “ they have built in one year
which is usually done in a period of three”.
