In this essay I´m going to focuss on the writers of Harlem Renaissance. To begin with we´ll deal with slavery in itself and its consequences in literary form ( Slave narratives and its characteristics) as it is the main factor to the birth of the Harlem Renaissance. Going on with the topic, we´ll study the birth of Harlem Renaissance , the reasons for this emmergence and important aspects of this movement.We will finish our paper with a detailed study of the most important authors in this period ( Jean Toomer, Alain Locke, Langston Hughes and Zora Neale Hurston) and a description of how their works are connected to the Harlem Renaissance.
