SLAVERY

Black people arrived to America in the 1690. In the 17 C there were even white slaves: criminals, whores, deserters...who were sent to America to work as punishment. In the 17 C the "black codes" were created. In such areas black people increased in such number that they had to legislate. The Constitution provided that blacks trade and slavery continued after the signing. At the 18C it was thought that slavery was dying away but the cotton engine was invented and it caused a revolution in slavery.

- Blacks were branded with their names like cattle.

- They had to use an iron mouth

- They were also ham-strung

- Women were used as breedy animals

All these treatment was justified by means of myths.
