DHL-EXEL. January 2001 - January 2003:

DHL is the current Ford Europe Lead Logistics Partner. DHL designs the European transportation network, manages the carriers and helps Ford to follow up the material in transit. I was the Logistics Supervisor of the Southern Europe Department with 8 Logistics Analysts. Located in Ford Almussafes Central Offices, the team followed up the transport and optimises the trucks analysing the Ford releases of the material shipped from the suppliers to Ford Almussafes Assembly and Engine Plants and Ford Bordeaux Transmission Plant. We used CMMS3 (Ford ERP) and TMS (DHL transport management system). In parallel I was the super-user of the new system TMS when it was launched in 2002 acquiring more experience in logistics systems implementation.

FORD MOTOR COMPANY. March - October 2000:

I was chosen by the University of Valencia and Ford to work in the department ‘Material Planning & Logistics’ in the vehicle distribution centre in Ford Almussfes (Valencia). This centre manages more than 400000 vehicles per year. My main activity was the data integrity, support and maintenance of the logistics information systems CDM and VMACS. These systems follow up the car from the manufacturing factory to the Ford final customers. Each location, as the production stations, the intermediate compounds and transits are monitored by CDM and VMACS helping the Ford dealers to follow up the vehicles and informing the final customers about the estimated time of arrival of their vehicles. I was in permanent contact with the Ford Europe MP&L systems department in Cologne (Germany).
