Due to Shakespeare’s position in the literary works and the number of works dedicated to his production I have always found writing essays on him very challenging. As for our class, I tried my papers to be of good quality and I have put much effort into achieving this aim. First paper, being shorter and relatively limited in terms of subject matter ( a character analysis) logically required less work. Writing the other paper, based on two plays, was much more difficult. The kind of topic I have chosen, being very comprehensive, required of me extensive reading, which is easy to be noticed through the list of reference books I used. The very process of producing the text was equally long, since the kind of analysis I carried out demands a very close examination of the material and careful argumentation. In my opinion, I did a good job this term and my commitment deserves a high mark.
