TIME CONTEXT
The text we are dealing with is a quite complex
text because of his poetical language, a due for that, determining a timeline
is quite difficult.
The story is structured into two parts, and
each one has a single and definite story. So for that, we can explain that the
text narrates two parallel stories of two different lives. On one hand there is
the story of Sand and in the other hand, the life of Harry Soot.
When we are describing those two lives, we can
notice that the narration is fully of spatial and temporal expressions all that
melt with flash-forward images.
The author of the text, Stephanie Strickland,
doesn’t tell us the time, and neither the same text. But it is supposed that it
is a story that interrelates two different
descriptions of tow different lives that at the end they intertwine and probably they are related with the present time. For that,
we can mention that the time context is contemporaneous.
