Plot:
The play develops in a party, which was organised by Gavin. The people who are in this
party are rich; everybody speaks about their lives. They speak about the society where
they live too. Melissa, critisizes clubs, society….. She explains that she has never been
friends. Melissa says these clubs have disappeared because people have died.
Setting:
There is an only place where the play is represented. The stage represents a flat.
Time:
We do not know how long actions last. There are not any leaps in the time.
Literary devices: Style.
Harold Pinter repeats some words; this play bas hot a lot of monosyllables. Harold
Pinter uses a simple language in order to make easier the reading.
Personal Opinion:
From my point of view, I liked reading this play, because Harold Pinter uses simple
words. However, when I finished reading this play I was confused because I think I did
not understand the context of this play. What does Harold Pinter want to transmit us?
