Valencia is the third most populated city of Spain after Madrid and Barcelona. Founded by the Romans in 138ac, it was known as Valentia Edatonorum. This city went through the Muslim occupation (Balensya) and the Cristian conquest which all contributed to the development of its culture and language. Valencia is famous for the Festival of Fallas, the Paella and the horchata. It houses famous landmarks such as Quart, the Cathedral and the remarkable “Lonja de la Seda”, which has been declared World Heritage.
