ANALISIS DEL ESPACIO EN EL POEMA

ESPACIO ESTERNO

En todo el poema que analizamos solamente se hace referencia a la playa en "squarely": "We knew what to do in the cool sand in the hot beach.".

ESPACIO INTERNO

A pesar de que en el poema que analizamos no se hace una referencia explícita a el dentro del citado en el apartado anterior todos los hechos que se describen tienen lugar en la arena a la cual esta presente en todas las estrofas que lo componen menos en la "toes forever" y " though our":

- "Castles": "Dig the moat as deep as we could,drop liquid sand... .".

- "Wet buckets": "We would bribe other kids to bring us buckets and buckets of wet sand."

- "of beachsand": "Trying to watch each other through the corners of sand-crusted eyes,... .".

- "squarely": "Position your beach towel square against the sand."

- "and crabs": "We would lie near them on the dry hot sand,... . " .

- "Scrunching": "Our toes deep in the nether world where the sand shifts into water,... .".
