In this introduction I'll try to explain to
you how I've made this work about "The Lumnous Dome", a short sory, which
is written by Stephen Linhart.
In the index you will find the first paper
link where you will read all my purposes about this
hypertext. There, you will find all about
the space, time and characters.
You also find bibliography with some web pages
to know more information about
Stephen and a lot of kind of different hypertext
stories and, to sum up, you have the conclusion where I talk about all
I've read and worked, it is like a personal opinion.
This hypertext has 82 fragments and more than 130
links. All these fragments have relation although you don't realize it
if you read this story from top to botton and from botton to top. You must
follow the links that the author gives you. He sows you different ways
to read you don't have to read it in order because it is not a one-way
story.
Stephen is the author of this hypertext, he is programmer too. He makes
possible to create interactive stories.
He explain in this page http://www.stephen.com/button/luminous.html#66
and http://www.stephen.com/ a
software which is made on a platform we can't access.
Here we can't see correctly this hypertext due to we haven't got this
kind of program.
It is an interactive hypertext if you have instaled it.
He gives us a tool where you can take part in the story, you can write
anything about the play and can be co-author too.
Here the author explains how and where this hypertext was created:
The Luminous Dome was created with ButtonTalk(tm), a tool that
lets writers create interactive text. It's easy to learn and
easy to use.
You can find ButtonTalk on many online services and FTP sites
that
carry Macintosh software. It's free for personal use.

WORK IN PROGRESS
This is a work in progress, and you've reached an unfinished
section.
So far, I've written only about 4,000 words of a short 30,000
word piece. I expect the equivalent of a novel in this format
might
be about twice as many words as a traditional novel.
At this point, still trying to explore and demonstrate some
of my
ideas about interactive fiction in general, and about ButtonTalk
in
particular.
The story is situated in a enchanted place where there is a long and
circular river with a big
luminouse dome on the top. Behind
the river there is a large garden with trees, flowers and
different criatures. It is a strange
place where you can't find where is the begin and where is
the end of the way you choose. You can
find a lot of ways to walk and all of them bring you
the same place, although changed, because
all is enchanted. Everything remenber you mortal
things because in this place nothing
is mortal. When you enter in this world you experiment a lot of
allutinations, that's way you
think is not real, but is nice and relaxing although there are times
you can be afraid.
