Analysis
Besides
of treating the topic of the space, it
is necessary to penetrate a bit more into the work. So, I will speak on the
following aspects:
Argument, characters, time, style and language
1) Argument
This book begins
with Anna, the main character, when she is a little girl, being inside her bed.
Anna is very scared because she has dreams that do not understand ,and also
note a presence that is in his room.
Then, it
seems that Anna has grown a bit, since she goes on holiday to Cincinnati
because she has rented and apartment, this apartment is of Yanna, a friend of
her grandmother Marie.
There, she
goes to see a medium because her dreams continue and also she wants to know the
whole truth. so, she will contact with Irene, a medium
The medium
meets with her in her house, and Anna will discover that the presence is her
grandmother Thelma who is always with
her . When Thelma died , she visited Anna, but as she was afraid, Thelma gave
up her
The medium
will tell her that her grandmother wants to be healing, also, they talk about
the relationships that Anna has had with men, she has never been very good
because her grandmother would not have liked them.
After the
visit in Irene’s house, Anna is much more calm, and she likes that her
grandmother stays with her.
It also
comes V, a friend of Anna, and she spends her time with her.
Later, Anna
meets a boy, Fungai, and she is very well, because they have an excellent
relationship, even Fungai speaks with Thelma because Anna also had have
problems with men because she had left her grandmother behind.
Finally,
Thelma said to her that Fungai was a good boy but she will suffer a lot and
then Anna discovered that Fungai was married and also that he had a chid.
