THE     YEAR     2000                   



            This story is about the change of millenium by the year 2000. This story was published by Derek Powazek the 1st of January os 2000, indeed!! He explains here what he did that day and what it represented for him.

            But the most important thing here is the author's invitation to the readers for writing their own experiences that day, expressing what they felt and what they did.

            It is not a characteristic only appearing in this story but here is clearly highlighted because the story itself is quite short (the one written by Powazek) and his real intentions were joining a lot of people rounding this topic and create an effective community in this site. Perhaps he wasn't conscious about the quantity of people that could answer this invitation because all the world lived that special moment!! Or was he??

            What it is clear is that the story has been placed in the section HOPE and this sections deals with moments that make people lives fly... And the change of millenium is something that makes you thinking about the future, about anybody's hope in anything better...
