CHARACTERS
First of all, I should
point out that though this is the first time I face a hypertext fiction, I
found it very interesting and novel, since the reader is the one who has to
make the choices in order to take the story to an end.
This also means that
there are as many endings for the text as characters are involved in the
action. In “The Heist”, we can find as many stories as characters thus, for
example if you choose to read the story from the point of view of one of the
thieves, your story will end up in a completely different way to a friend of
yours who chose the perspective of one of the customers or of the cops.
On the other hand, one
of the pros I found in this hypertext is that, since you choose the perspective
from which you want to read the novel, which is always a character, you have a
complete background on the character you have chosen and you can see the action
“through his/her eyes”.
In this hypertext,
despite the relations between characters are those that could have been made in
such a situation.
