CONCLUSION

I think it has been very interesting to do this work online about Samuel Richardson. This author, who introduced the epistolary form in 18th century, involved a revolution in the English novel tradition, which already is alive nowadays.
Samuel Richardson's Familiar Letters (1741) brought a new style: a volume of model letters for the use of the country reader. While engaged in writing the form letters he also wrote the celebrate novel Pamela; or Virtue Rewarded(1740-1741), telling, in the form of letters, the story of a young maid-servant's defense of her honor. Afterwards, Clarissa; or the History of a Young Lady (1747-1748), was considered his best work.
In my opinion, Clarissa; or the History of a Young Lady is a magnificent display of lofty moral tone, sentimentality, and understanding of emotions and the feminine mind (Richardson's readers cried and went mad as much as the characters of his novels).
Samuel Richardson was applauded by his contemporary people, and moreover, he had a little permanent direct influence on English fiction, and his works played part in the growth of the novel of sentiment, especially in Europe.
The mentioned works before, and his unique style which transmit unrivalled emotions have granted to Samuel Richardson the first place among the writers at that time, so he has got the title as a "creator" of the true English novel.
