GENERAL SPACE

        SIX SEX SCENES

As I have said before, I will treat the aspect of space in the hypertext of Adrienne Eisen, so, in a first moment I have thought and I would like to say that  every text or hypertext  is “read” in any space, in a external environment.

In this way, six sex scenes has placed in the world of internet. Internet would be its external space, unlike the printed books.

Moreover, the author has distributed the action, like the majority of hypertext’s authors, on the screen by linking texts. I have been browsing the hypertext and I have decided how to read it on the Internet:

Firstly, the hypertext is divided into 6 parts (that match with 6 pictures), so, the reader chooses one of the 6 pictures  that appear in the fist “page” ,then, the reader reads the “chapter” and when you arrive at the end of that chapter, the reader has got several options, that, in this case are the title of the  following chapters. The reader chooses one of them and repeats the same actions, until she/he thinks that the story has arrived at its end. This is why any reading is similar to another; each reader can make his/her own reading.

Moreover, Eisen’s hypertext has a title: Six sex scenes, and at first, like it says ,I thought  that  it  matches to space, because it refers  to  6 scenes, however, after reading the hypertext, I knew that it wasn’t so. The title doesn’t match with its content, because, it’s true that in the hypertext there are sex scenes, but not six different sex scenes.

In my opinion, this title could be a way for organize the hypertext.

On the other hand, in this hypertext each chapter is developed in internal spaces, in other words, all the actions have a place in which they are developed. However, we can’t say which is the general space because it isn’t said which the town, city or country is. The reader only knows, sometimes, in which specific places the actions are developed, for instance, the main space of these actions are the houses (the house of the whole family or Andy and Chris’s house), but, there are also a lot of actions inside cars, inside the doctor’s office, school in the street…

In addition, the protagonist has got a lot of thoughts and imaginations. In most thoughts the place isn’t specified, however, the reader can imagine where they would happen because when the protagonist has these imaginations, she is imagining that something happens where she is, so the place doesn’t vary.

Iif you want a more detailed explanation, go to espaces in each chapter” or “space-line”

Later, in the conclusion I will show you my experience with it.
