Jeremy Dragonfly Catches the Artbug

Jeremy Dragonfly has caught a bug
Not a bug like a slug
No more like a flu
Its a bug that makes Jeremy go achoo!

But, this bug was different right from the start
Because the stuff he was sneezing was wonderful art

He sneezed paintings and sculptures and musical scores
Collages and arias and lots lots lots more

But the folks all around him said "give it a rest!
For this stuff you call 'art' is just a big mess!"

So, he paused and he thought, disheartened and blue
"if you want me to stop, that is what I will do"

So, he attempted to stop, and he found it a bore
Cause things grew real drab, a great big ol' snore

And before Jeremy knew it, he had started anew
Cause the ArtBug, you see, is more than a flu

So, he went to the doctor, asked "what should I do?"
And the doctor said "There's nothing wrong with you!"

"Its good! and its bad! makes folks glad and real mad
But, the world without art is just dreary and sad."

"So, the bug in your bones is a great thing you've found
Go out in the world and spread it around!"

And soon all his friends caught the bug too
Sneezing and making art up the wazoo.

So, the next time you're bored, think there's nothing to do
Try sneezing some art, or a doodle or two!
