The story is mostly developed in an agency for
artists.
Studied under a
renowned photographer.
In this text there are only two places.
On the one hand, the main character visits a photographer
in order to bring pictures of hers.
On the other hand, she is in her apartment.
Assisted photographer taking photos for a major
magazine.
She attended photographer one more
time. There, she enters the bathroom to put on clothes, and finally she
did come out of the bathroom and she did lie down on the bed because the
photographer had to take photos of hers.
Helped spread fine art to lower-income
households.
The main character tells that she, the
photographer and his wife was driving to a small gray house, where the
dining room was turned into a makeup room and the living room into a shooting
gallery.
The protagonist sat on a sofa and the
photographer on his wheelchair.
The action takes place in Chicago Mercantile
Exchange.
Delivered orders to the trading pits.
In this text, it can be said that the main
place is the Eurodollar pit, where people used to make orders by phone,
specifically placed on a floor.
Earned a promotion to a position in the British
Pound pit.
Places where the actions are developed: in the
Swiss pit and in the British Pound pit.
Saved millions of dollars by performing well
under pressure.
In this chapter there are no many space
references.
Broker George was showing everyone in the
pit pictures of his pool.
Robert
Ford, LLC, March 1990 - Sept. 1991
Assisted Mr. Ford with everything from dining
to laundry.
The main character and a man called Robert
Ford entered an expensive trendy Italian place where all the traders went.
Also, the main character imagined to be in
a big and organized house with a big kitchen, buying at Crate &
Barrel, which is a chain of American retail stores, specializing in
housewares, furniture, and home accessories.
Conceived of strategy to reorganize daily
scheduling process.
In this text we can find many spatial aspects:
Robert crawled out of the bed, so we can
imagine he is in a bedroom, and later, he got back to main
character’s apartment, where she was dancing in the mirror to Sonic
Youth.
After having danced, they both entered the
bedroom and lied on the bed together.
Oversaw the redecoration of a sixteen-room
home.
Robert’s wife was moving back into the house.
The main character was reading T.S. Eliot
aloud, supposedly at home.
