Title of the 1^st paper : The Little Black Boy

Author or topic : William Blake

Abstract : In this paper I am going to give an objective analysis of William Blake’s poem “The Little Black Boy” and make an effort to understand better his work. Firstly, I will comment, on my own words, what comes to my mind when I read this poem and also its rhyme and meter. After this, I will try to relate what the poem says to the personal life of the author so we understand better his poetry and also a little bit of his mind.

Title of the 2^nd paper : Importance of Religion in William Blake and Gerard Hopkins’ life and poetry

Author or topic : William Blake and Gerard Manley Hopkins

Abstract : What I will do in this paper I comparing two authors from a different period and try to find any possible characteristic they share. Firstly I will comment briefly on their lives to give sense to the paper. Later on I will comment on two of the poems by these two authors and finally I will focus on the religious aspect and characteristics they both share. After this I will give my point of view an personal opinion on the final result of this paper.

Auto-evaluation: I actually don’t know if what I think my grade must be is what the lecturer thinks. The aim of the first paper was to comment, on my own words, a poem by a Romantic author and put it in relation to his life. I have to consider that it made that my paper was not too good since we seldom write papers in the university. I have also attended to almost every theoretical and practical class and have made an effort to design my webpage; this was really hard and caused me many problems. If we take all this into account I think that at least deserve to pass this quatrimestre with a 5 o even though a 6.
