Abstract: Hypertext is a text which is not constrained to be linear. Hypertext is a text which contains links to other texts. The term was coined by Ted Nelson around 1965. But hypertext is even more complicated than this and this is what Stuart Moulthrop will show us.

Stuart Moulthrop has several hypertexts and cybertexts but the one I have chosen is called Victory Garden (excerpts), which plot and characters are set in 1991, during the Gulf War. The story centres on the character of Emily Runbird and the lives and interactions of the people connected with her life.

 I have found two interviews, one in spanish and the other one in english, made to him where he explains better than me what is a hypertext and its advantages in our new era. I also have uploaded an e-mail that Mr. Moulthrop replied to one I previously sent him.

I have focused my atention in time aspects and I have extract some time references all along the hypertext. I have written a conclusion explaining my opinion and problems I dealt with while doing this work.
