Subject : # 14231 Traducció de Textos Literaris Anglesos Gr.A
Student´s name : Harsulescu, Gabriela
The difficulty in translating this text was not so much the
looking up
words in the dictionary, or the medicines and software in Google and so
on. The
hardest thing was to try to convey as much as possible of the sadness
and
despair of the author and to preserve the general tone and simplicity
of the
original text.
I finished translating it a long time ago and I’m having a hard
time trying
to remember the words I had to look up in the dictionary. And there
weren’t
that many anyway. The language used is very simple probably due to the
obvious
limitations that come with dictating to the computer. I remember I had
trouble
with the Buddhist prayer but we sorted that out in class.
