Located at the Valley la Drova and at the development with the latter's name, belonging to Barx's town hall, La Drova is just 12km away from Gandía but at an altitude of 400m, which makes it a very special, relaxing and quiet place sourrounded by mountains, but near the beaches and their leissure places at the same time. Everything is connected by great-quality roads.
Moreover Valencia, with its City of Arts and Sciences, the America’s Cup port, its old city centre or the Formula I's street circuit, is just 50min. away by car through the motorway; and the historical city of Xàtiva, with its castle and the old city centre is just 65km away, only 30min. by car. You can also easily visit the beatiful seaside villages of Alicante, Jávea and Denia, which takes 1h by car, and admire those kind of beaches one cannot miss. La Drova is a privileged mountainous place, with many natural springs and a beatuiful landscape, it is possible to go trekking and it is near the Valldigna's Monastery, in the neighbouring town of Simat de la Valldigna, which according to the Estatuto de Autonomía is considered a landmark for the Valencian The development is so close to Gandía that you can enjoy all its attractions in just a few minutes: beach, leissure,and the typical activities in a tourist place such as sailing, scuba diving or golf.
The chalet is placed at a residential area composed of independent chalets and 3 minutes away by car from Barx, which is a cozy village full of kind people where any basic service can be found: supermarkets, baker's, butcher's, chemist's, Bancaja (Bankia) and a large variety of bars and restaurants where you can have nice and very reasonable regional meals, mainly a wide range of rice dishes, excellent meat and diverse and delicious pasties. Barx municipal distric has beatuful natural spots, such as the Cañada Real de Castilla or the Assegador way (used in the old days for the cattle to be lead through, where lots of springs can be gound), and a maravelous panorama from the la Visteta viewpoint or the Mondúver peak (841m), where you can enjoy beatiful places from such as la Valldigna or the coast covering from Valencia to Denia.
The dissolution of limestone resulted in the formation of natural sinkholes, for example, el Forat de l’aire(Hole of Air), the sinkhole d’ Aldaia o l’Avenc de la Donzella (Sinkhole of the Lady). The caves of les Malladetes and del Parpalló (Gandía) are important for the archeological remains which have been found in them. |
