*Introduction.
“Sister
Stories”, by Carolyne Guyer,
is a hypertext (published by mothermillennia)
that makes an exploration of the Aztec Society. So,
I think it’s appropriate to do an introduction of this civilization.
The Aztecs were an advanced
and prosperous civilization who built beautiful and sophisticated cities. At
their peak, the Aztec civilization had about 15 million people who lived in
nearly 500 communities. The Aztecs were culturally developed in music, arts,
crafts, and the sciences. Music played an important role in Aztec religious
rituals for worshiping their many gods. About 300,000 people lived in Tenochtitlan, their capitol. In this
famous city, the government controlled and was responsible for punishment,
agriculture, and all aspects of the civilization’s economy.
As I am
working with hypertexts I think is suitable to give a definition of what is a hypertext. Hypertext
most often refers to text on a computer that will lead the user to other,
related information on demand. Hypertext represents a relatively recent
innovation to user interfaces, which overcomes some of the limitations of
written text. Rather than remaining static like traditional text, hypertext
makes possible a dynamic organization of information through links and
connections (called hyperlinks). Hypertext can be designed to perform various
tasks; for instance when a user "clicks" on it or "hovers"
over it, a bubble with a word definition may appear, a web page on a related
subject may load, a video clip may run, or an application may open.
In this
paper, I will treat the aspect of “Space”, so that I
have compiled information about the places that are mentioned in the hypertext.
For this, I have searched the information and then I have created many links in
some words or phrases. These links are connected with information, web pages,
images or videos about the word underlined, for give an explanation to the
lector.
