LAY-OUT
The photo, which is placed up
on the left hand corner in the front cover represents a huge statue six tones
of a lady called Portlandia. It seems to be that Portlandia represents
womanhood, and it is the thread by which the whole plot is made up. Besides, it is a recurrent
physical and figurative figure, used as a literary
resource, to which almost every character comes
back in any way. You can see how each character is through her/his opinions on
the statue. Moreover, its lay-out is an impacting image placed in the front
cover.
There is also, in the front cover, the main
words of which the hyper story is to show: Women, Web, Love, Hate, War, and
Sexes, all of them with links.
A reference, to the first place where the hypertext was published,
Serendipity Systems, 1995, and to the second one, Virtual Progressive Dinner
Party, 2000, appeared in the front cover.
Every page has a coloured
bottom; it is usually purple or pink, however, there is a black bottom in the
several pages that show the Jesus Christ’s history from the Bible, and a
drawing relating his life in each one. So, giving a different colour to the
screens, you can guess the difference about the narrative features that the
author has used, for instance, the black coloured screens make you to think of
a background (the Eve and Adam’s story, throwing out from the Paradise) that
surrounds the characters’ life.
Although there are no videos,
photos (except the one in the front cover), this hypertext appeals us because
of it’s lightly links that makes easy to visit the whole pages. .
