Hey, I thought I better update this again, the last one was old and doesn't represent who I really am any more.

I'm Hattie. I'm fifteen. I'm female. I'm British (neither northern nor southern, but I'll argue for which ever side is being put down).

Writing is my world. My current project is rapidly coming to an end. It's called the Children of the Forest trilogy. For me, good writing is all about wonderful characters. I'll love any book with a character to fall in love with. Slow starting books are a no-no, they have to be gripping, because I have a short attention span and lose interest quickly.

I also write poetry, and that's what I post mostly here. It's rarely good, though occasionally I'll do something I think is amazing and never gets feedbacked here.

I'm a straight A student, and it's not all it's cracked up to be. The smarter you are the easier it is to fail.

I believe firmly in the power of the imagination.

I love songs with good lyrics, catchy choruses or emotional singers. I love to listen to songs on repeat for hours. My favourite bands are Counting Crows, Nine Days, Dashboard Confessional, The Goo Goo Dolls and The Calling. I'm always listening to music.

I'm almost always online. PM me for information on how to contact me, but it might be a while until I respond because I rarely check my mail here. I'm also not currently participating on the Discussion Board, but that doesn't mean I'm not watching 0_0

I can't wait for my life to start properly, but at the same time I'm scared to death of leaving school. When I grow up I want to be a writer, but I'm realistic to know I'll never make any money from that. However, I have no other ideas. I'm just waiting for something to come along.

I have several very good friends who mean the world to me, and who I would die without. I trust people easily, but I'm very bad at giving people second chances. I tend to nurse hurt for a very long time without anyone knowing, and I rarely tell people when they've hurt my feelings. I'm learning to be more open but it's a slow process.

I've learnt that writing helps, in more ways than some people will ever understand.

I absoluely love to perform on stage. I do ballet, and drama. I also really love writing (dah!), and reading, if it's a good book. One of my favorite books is Ribbons,it's about a girl who loves ballet, but her family can't afford for her to take lessons because they are bringing her Chinease grandmother to America. Even if you are really not a ballet person, you might quite like it. Another one of my favorites is Chasing Red Bird, by Sharon Creech. I also love skiing (cross-country and downhill) and I like to swim, bike, play the violin, and sing.

I've been using this site since I was eleven, but I left it for ages as I became happy and therefore stopped writing.
I'm not saying I am now unhappy! On the contrary, I'm rather damn jolly. However, I've learnt to be able to write despite that.
My name's Holly, all I really ever do nowadays is listen to music... Radiohead and We Are Scientists in particular...
I seem to be failing most things at school - except for english, which I've finished my GCSE's on and got an A* for, which was good.
That's really all I can think to say.
Except maybe for the fact I think I've felt true love...
Listen to 'Selective Memory' by We Are Scientists. It's incredible.
