Abstract : This paper examines the
translation of parts of two works of Shakespeare, Titus Andronicus and 4 of his Sonnets.
The relationship between form and content is explored with regard to the Sonnets, while the commentary on Titus Andronicus broaches some of the
difficulty one has in translating a work, especially one as old and complex as
that of Shakespeare. 3 poems from another author, Seamus Heaney, are also
translated and commented on, as well as 100 lines from Bernard Shaw’s Man and Superman.
