CYPRUS

Neapolis Gymnasium is a small secondary school situated on the east side of Limassol in Cyprus close to the lovely seaside part of the town.

Three hundred and twenty students attend our school. The majority of them are Greek Cypriots but seventy students are of different nationalities mostly from Finland, England, Russia, Bulgaria, Latvia and Iran. These twelve-fifteen years old students are distinguished in artistic fields such as painting, music, dancing, theatre, photography and different other acivities cooperating well with their classmates. They have special interes in environmental issues. That's why we are members of "Eco Schools" and "Yong Reportes of the Environment".

Participating in various competitions our students gained metals and awards. All these participations and activities are registered in our web page and in yearly magazine "DRADIS" which has benn published since 1992.

A well organized section for children with special needs is also functioned in our school. It has neen distinguised and the Ministry of Education and Culture mentioned it as one of the best in the country.
