SUMMARY:
"Roots an Wings" is a multilateral school partnership Comenuius project, where students and teachers from 9 countries- Germany,Denmark, Italy,Spain, Cyprus, Turkey, Hungary, Romania and Latvia- join in one multinational team.
The idea is to create and issue a teenage magazine. Therefore the 13-16 -year olds, participating in the mutual project, will use their own experience, observe different fields of life, write articles , take photos, draw pictures and make animations to be placed in the magazine. They share information about lifestyles, customs, traditions of the regions, as well as attitudes in relation with the environment and climate changes will promote a better understanding of various ways of European life and broaden the students' minds.
The aim of the project is to cooperate in a practical and theoretical way, using modern technologies to communicate, different teaching methods and come together in both real-life and magazine-life. To motivate the students even more we will use different teaching methods.
The students will create an online magazine open for every participant to write in. A paper version of the magazine will be issued for and by all the papers schools and distributed to local schools and institutions. The final product will be a site on the "world wide web" and a paper version of the magazine which will include a CD with animations.
During the project at the schools and at the planning meetings the teachers, taking in consideration students' opinions, will evaluate the results and set goals for the next period. The teachers will develop more knowledge about using ITC and integrate different teaching methods as Cooperative Learning (CL) and Learning Styles (LS).
